Actor Vishal and director Mysskin collaborated for the first time for Thupparivaalan which has Vishal playing a role of detective on the lines of Sherlock Holmes. Touted to a thriller, Thupparivaalan hit the big screens on September 14th and had a decent start at the box office. With good positive reviews coming in from viewers and critics, Thupparivaalan grossed approximately INR 37 lakhs in Chennai and overall INR 3 crores across the state of Tamil Nadu.
While the end of day numbers are awaited to be confirmed by the makers, the numbers are predicted to go up over the weekend after positive talk about the film is noticed to be spreading. Mysskin is being well appreciated for his directorial skills. The film is said to be filled with some edge-of-the-seat episodes and promises to be an entertainer for Tamil movie-buffs.
Locking horns with Jyothika’s Magalir Mattum, Thupparivaalan seems to have an upper hand at the box office given the genre and the star cast.
