“I called up the producer and told him I have a bad story, but it will win commercially. As said, TIN did well commercially, thanks to the youth. However, the film got an ‘A’ certificate and also, before the release I told audiences that this is not for women. I told women not to come to the theatres for it’s content but still lots of couples thronged the theatres. I did not wrongly market TIN and I think it helped. We just made a trendy film which could catch the pulse of the audiences and it worked for us,” he added.
