The official teaser of Dhanush starrer Vada Chennai is finally out and is getting a huge response. Directed by Vetri Maaran of Aadukalam and Visaaranai fame, the film marks the fifth time collaboration of Dhanush and Vetri Maaran. Talking about the one-minute teaser; it showcases Dhanush in different looks. From donning funky hairstyle to dressing up like the 70s and 80, Dhanush’ various looks in the teaser is leaving us excited.
Actress Aishwarya Rajesh appears to be one of the women he falls in love with. Andrea is also seen as a married woman in the teaser. The teaser hints about the actor’s involvement in drugs, gang wars and fights. There are quite a hard-hitting action and realistic scenes that are making us wait for the trailer. The film also stars Daniel Balaji, Kishore and filmmaker Ameer in important roles.
In the teaser, Dhanush, who has given the voice-over, says, “This war will not end with one person’s death. Win or lose, we must fight. If we don’t fight back, they’ll continue to run us down. This is our home. We must fight for it. We must defend it.”

Said to be sketched in the backdrop of North Madras, Vada Chennai also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah in the other lead roles. The makers had released the first look posters of Vada Chennai a while ago which left fans asking for more. It is also being said that Dhanush will be seen playing a National-Level Carrom player and his character is named Anbu. Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen playing a role called Padma while Samuthirakani plays Guna and Andrea Jeremiah will be portraying a character named Chandra. A couple of photos of actor Dhanush from Vada Chennai had earlier gone viral on various social media platforms and has created much excitement around the film.
The music of Vada Chennai is being rendered by Santosh Narayanan while the cinematography is handled by Velraj. Vada Chennai is being jointly produced by Dhanush and Subaskaran. Dhanush and Vetrimaaran have previously worked on more than a couple of films like Kodi, Aadukalam and Polladhavan to name a few.
