Actress Trisha recently collaborated with the UNICEF to promote child rights and added a feather to her cap. In this new role, she will strive to prevent the violation of child rights and ensure that education is given top priority at all costs. During a chat with a leading daily, she said that she felt honoured to be to be given such a big responsibility and would do her level best to promote child rights.
“I am honoured and privileged to be getting this recognition. It is also a huge responsibility and I am willing to do all that it takes for child rights,” she added.
Trisha also revealed that a lot of negative things happen around us and it is important to shield children from such negativity. The ‘Saamy’ star also said that she is trying to be a better spokesperson and taking baby steps towards being a celebrity advocate for child rights.
“Right now, I am focusing on becoming a good spokesperson and taking baby steps, as this is a new journey for me. Being an actor, it is great to know there are people who would like to listen to you. With so many negative things doing the rounds, I want to take the good things in this society to the children,” she added.
Well, we are happy for Trisha and hope that she does full justice to her new assignment. On the work front, she currently has ‘96’ and ‘Hey Jude’ in her kitty. ‘96’ is a romantic-drama while ‘Hey Jude’ is a romantic-comedy.
