According to leading news agency, Kamal Haasan’s much-delayed ‘Sabaash Naidu’ has not been shelved and will be revived pretty soon. Confirming the same, a source said the film’s shoot got stalled when the veteran actor suffered a leg injury, however, things will be back on course in the near future.
“Kamal sir is busy with Bigg Boss show. Contrary to some reports, Sabash Naidu has not been shelved and will be revived very soon. It had to be stalled when he had a leg injury followed by some unfortunate events,” added the source.
The source went on to add that the team wanted to revive ‘Sabaash Naidu’ last year itself but could not as the makeup team was unavailable.
“The makeup team from the US, which had to take care of Kamal sir’s prosthetic look, wasn’t available as they were on a Christmas break. Therefore, the shoot had to be pushed to this year,” the source told a media agency.
In case you did not know, ‘Sabaash Naidu’ is touted to be a spy-comedy and is being directed by Haasan himself. Besides the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’, it features Shruti Haasan and Ramya Krishnan in the lead.
Interestingly, this is a busy time for Haasan. He is currently hosting ‘Bigg Boss’ and has come under fire for the same. A fringe group recently called for a ban on the show and said it was an insult to Tamil culture. To make matters worse, they even asked the authorities to arrest Haasan.
