Vada Chennai trailer and film release dates announced by Dhanush

Said to be sketched in the backdrop of North Madras, Vada Chennai also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Andre Jeremiah in the other lead roles.

Actor Dhanush starrer Vada Chennai is currently under post production stage and reports were doing rounds that the film may be released in August during Independence Day weekend. Directed by Vetrimaaran, Vada Chennai is set in the backdrop of North Madras and will have a rustic look to it. And clearing all the air around the release date of the film, Dhanush took to Twitter and made an announcement about the trailer and film release dates. The part 1 of trailer will be released on July 28th, 2018 while the film will hit the screens in September. Dhanush, however, did not announce the release date. Dhanush shared an intense poster too of Vada Chennai and wrote – “#VadaChennai  part 1 trailer will be launched on 28th July & the movie will be a September release.”

Said to be sketched in the backdrop of North Madras, Vada Chennai also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah in the other lead roles. The makers had released the first look posters of Vada Chennai a while ago which left fans asking for more. It is also being said that Dhanush will be seen playing a National-Level Carrom player and his character is named Anbu. Aishwarya Rajesh will be seen playing a role called Padma while Samuthirakani plays Guna and Andrea Jeremiah will be portraying a character named Chandra. Couple of photos of actor Dhanush from Vada Chennai had gone viral in various social media platforms and has created much excitement around the film.

The music of Vada Chennai is being rendered by Santosh Narayanan while the cinematography is handled by Velraj. Vada Chennai is being jointly produced by Dhanush and Subaskaran. Dhanush and Vetrimaaran have previously worked on more than couple of films like Kodi, Aadukalam and Polladhavan to name a few.
