Vikram is arguably one of the biggest names in the Tamil film industry today. And, not surprisingly, he has been ruling K-town for several years. Now, his son Dhruv is following in his footsteps. The young man began shooting for his debut film Varma—which is the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy—a couple of days ago and began a new journey in life.
Now, there is some good news for those who are looking forward to its release.
In an exciting development, Vikram just took to Insta and shared the First Look of Varma with his followers. As expected, the FL is quite awesome. Dhruv can be seen in a raw and dashing avatar that he carries off like a boss. His macho look may remind fans of his dad Vikram and reaffirm our faith in the old adage—like father like son. Varma is being directed by Bala and could have a dark theme, just like the original version. However, it may not be a frame-to-frame remake of Arjun Reddy as some changes could be made to suit the Tamil sensibilities.
In case you did not know, Arjun Reddy was one of the biggest surprise hits of 2017. Directed by Sandeep Reddy, it featured young heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda in the lead and turned out to be a gamechanger. It also ruffled feathers because of his bold scenes and liplocks.
While talking about the film’s success, Vijay Deverakonda had said that it made him a hot property.
“Yes, I am getting calls from many places and they are pleading me to attend their shop opening or to endorse their brand. But I am not very interested as I only want to endorse what I like. To escape from them, I am quoting a high amount,” he had told a leading daily.
Well, we hope that Varma too fares well at the box office and helps Dhruv become a star.
