Veteran actor Livingston bags a role in Vijay’s upcoming film with AR Murugadoss

Actor Vijay will next be seen in A.R.Murugadoss directorial and the shooting of the film has already begun. The film is yet to be titled and is being referred to as Thalapathy 62 at the present moment. Keerthy Suresh will be seen playing the leading lady in the film and will be her second films alongside Vijay after Bairavaa. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced by the makers however, according to latest reports, this veteran actor has bagged an important role in the film. Veteran actor J Livingston has been signed on to play Keerthy Suresh’s father in the film, according to reports. Livingston will join the shooting of the film which is all set to being sine the strike in Tamil film industry has been called off by the producers. This yet to be titled film will be produced by Sun Pictures and will have story co-written by veteran writer B Jeyamohan. If everything goes as planned, Thalapathy 62 may be released during Diwali this year.

Vijay was last seen in Mersal in which he was seen playing triple roles. Directed by Atlee, Mersal was one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema last year after having earned a total collection of Rs.110 crores. The film also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen and Samantha Akkineni as leading ladies. Mersal had actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah as the antagonist and was well appreciated for his role in the film. Mersal, besides the huge success, had equal share of controversies after few political leaders raised objection towards few scenes in the film that had reference to GST. After few political leaders raised an objection to it, there were reports doing rounds that the makers have chopped off those controversial scenes. However, the makers confirmed that none of the scenes were removed and they are being played as is in cinema halls.
