Rajinikanth starrer Kaala is just a few hours away from the release and the film is in the news for all the right and wrong reasons. While die-hard Rajinikanth fans are excited to catch their favourite star on the big screen, a certain section of the country is against the film’s release. As earlier we reported, Rajinikanth is facing opposition from pro-Kannada groups over his Cauvery water statement.
Well, this has taken an ugly turn after the protesters attacked a film distributor’s office in Bengaluru. They have threatened to stall the release of the film. One can see in the video, the posters of the film are being torn down. Massive protests erupt in Bengaluru as fringe continues to protest the Kaala release.
Watch the video here that has been circulating on social media:
Hooliganism in the name of #Kannada pride. Posters of #Kaala torn down and violance threatened ahead of movie release in #Bengaluru. #Rajnikanth has every right to express himself over #Cauvery or anything else. Disagree if you want. pic.twitter.com/JYh1If0wbj

The state government has no option but to provide security to the cinema halls screening Rajinikanth’s Kaala in Karnataka. According to media reports, Karnataka High Court on Tuesday asked the state government to provide security to theatres wanting to screen Rajinikanth’s Kaala in Tamil and other languages. This decision came only after producer Dhanush and director Aishwarya, asked for police protection to exhibitors from pro-Kannada activists.
Now it remains to see how Kaala day turns up for the makers of the film on June 7. Meanwhile, have you booked your tickets for Kaala? Share your views in the comments section below.
