Keerthy Suresh, who is currently basking in the glory of Savitri biopic Mahanati, has geared for her next film featuring Vijay. Vijay – AR Murugadoss film is dubbed as Thalapathy 62. The makers of the film recently wrapped the first schedule of the film in Chennai. The major portions of the film were shot in Chennai and Kolkata. Now, the team will head to Las Vegas.
“The US schedule will be a brief one. The team has completed major portions in Chennai and a crucial sequence in Kolkata. For the past few days, the shooting is swiftly progressing in Chennai. A debate show scene was filmed two days back in the premises of Sun Network. An intense car chase scene was shot near Andhra Club in Chennai on Tuesday. Some portions were shot in Chennai International Airport last week,” a source from the team told Firstpost.
There are a lot of expectations from Thalapathy 62 as the combination of Vijay and Murugadoss has set the bar very high.
The film is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman will score the music for the film. The film will hit the screens this year on the occasion of Diwali. Murugadoss is collaborating with Vijay for the third time after highly successful previous outings Thuppakki (2012) and Kaththi (2014).
Amid everything, the film is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Recently, the makers of the film unveiled a behind the scenes photo from the photoshoot of the film. In the photo, Keerthy is seen keeping her leg over Vijay’s leg, which has not gone well among the fans. While some fans have reacted to the photoshoot picture positively, some fans are offended. Fans are offended over Keerthy for keeping her foot on Vijay Thalapathy’s leg, who is sitting down on the floor.
Vijay was last seen in Mersal in which he was seen playing triple roles. Directed by Atlee, Mersal was one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema last year after having earned a total collection of Rs.110 crores. The film also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen and Samantha Akkineni as leading ladies. Mersal had actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah as the antagonist and was well appreciated for his role in the film.
