Vijay Sethupathi has geared up for the interesting films that are releasing this year. The actor is having the busiest year with back to back films in the kitty. While he is currently shooting for Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, reportedly, Vijay Sethupathi has bagged another film. According to latest reports, Vijay Sethupathi is once again collaborating with director SP Jananathan for his forthcoming film. However, there has been no official confirmation on the same yet. Reportedly, the makers are still in talks and are planning to make official confirmation. Vijay and Jananathan had previously worked together for the jail drama, ‘Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai’
The New Indian Express quoted the director saying, “Vijay Sethupathi and I decided to collaborate a long time back. But we haven’t signed the project yet and the production house is yet to be decided. He mentioned it in an interview and hence the buzz right now. In another two weeks, we’ll have a better idea about the project.”
Currently, Vijay has geared up for the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, which is a multistarrer film. Arvind Swami, Simbu and Arun Vijay along with Vijay Sethupathi are currently in Chennai for the shooting of the film. The technical team of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam includes editor Sreekar Prasad and composer AR Rahman. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and her reuniting with filmmaker Mani Ratnam is one of the highlights of the film.
The actor has an amazing line up of films. Vijay will be seen next in ‘Junga’, a gangster comedy produced by himself. He will be soon making his Telugu debut with the Chiranjeevi-starrer ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’.
That’s not all; he also has biggies- ‘Super Deluxe’, ‘Seethakaathi’ and ‘96′ under his belt. Vijay Sethupathi has also landed a pivotal role in superstar Rajinikanth’s forthcoming film with Karthik Subbaraj. The team is currently working on the pre-production and are likely to start the shooting of the film soon.
