Actor Dhanush has quite an interesting line up of films this year which includes a sequel to his 2015 hit Velaiilla Pattadhari. The film, titled Velaiilla Pattadhari 2, has the story written by Dhanush himself and will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. The film also features Bollywood actress Kajol in an important role. Besides VIP2, Dhanush also has Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai which has been getting delayed for numerous reasons.

The film had Amala Paul as the female lead when it started rolling but the actress later walked out of the project due to unknown reasons. Aishwarya Rajesh replaced Amala Paul in Vada Chennai, and the shooting will commence in the month of June after the completion of VIP 2.

The latest reports suggest that there might be more delay Vada Chennai because actor Vijay Sethupathi has walked out of the film due to unknown reasons. The actor is now replaced by actor/director Ameer who will join the unit in the next schedule of the film.

Ameer has replaced Vijay in the film. It’s an intense role and Vetrimaaran, amidst his other options, really felt Ameer can pull it off. He will join the sets from the film’s next schedule,” a source was quoted by a news agency.

Vada Chennai will portray thirty years of the life of a gangster who hails from North Chennai. According to recent reports, Vetrimaaran has designed some interesting episodes in Vada Chennai and will be a milestone in Dhanush’s career. Besides Aishwarya Rajesh, Vada Chennai also features Andrea Jeremiah.
