Filmmaker Vikram K Kumar is one of the few directors who has made films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, and most of them have been hit films. His recent release, Hello, starring Akhil Akkineni and Kalyani Priyadarshan did some decent business and gave Akhil the much required success in his career. And post the success of Hello, Akkineni Nagarjuna had plans of roping in Vikram Kumar for a film with Naga Chaitanya however, the plans had to be put on hold because of Chaitanya’s busy schedule. And eventually, Vikram Kumar had to move on to his next project and recent reports reveal that Vikram may direct a film in Bollywood. Emerging reports reveal that Vikram K Kumar may soon direct Akshay Kumar in Bollywood and the film will be a thriller. Akshay Kumar and Vikram K Kumar have been planning to collaborate but couldn’t in the past, but soon may come together for a film, reports indicate. Vikram, who has already directed a film in Bollywood titled 13B, is said to be working on the script and soon things would be finalised. Reports also reveal that the principal shoot of the film may commence from June this year.
Vikram has delivered hits like Manam, Hello and Ishq in Telugu and 24 in Tamil with Suriya. Vikram K Kumar is one of the rare filmmakers who has a high percentage of success in films. Vikram Kumar, industry insiders say, is the go-to man for actors who are struggling in their careers without any hits. Nithiin, who was going through a rough patch, was bailed out by Vikram Kumar with Ishq and Akhil Akkineni managed to make a mark with his second film Hello, directed by Vikram. These are few elements which makes Vikram one of the most sought after director across various film industries in India.
