According to a leading daily, veteran actor Kamal Haasan and superstar Vikram are all set to collaborate for what promises to a slobber knocker of a project. The ‘I’ star will play the lead role in a film that will be produced by the ‘Ulaganayagan’ and is going to directed by Rajesh M Selva. Talking about this, a source said that the project will be a remake of a French thriller and is likely to go on the floors soon.
“The team had originally planned to announce this project on January 1, but since Vikram’s father passed away on December 31, they have put off the announcement as a mark of respect to the actor,” added the source.
However, on being contacted, director Rajesh M Selva said that it was too early to comment on the matter.
“I’m still writing my script. It is too early to comment on this as I’m yet to finalise who I’m going to make it with,” he said.
Well, if this news turns out to be true then it is bound to create a buzz amongst fans. Interestingly, if this mark only the fourth time that Haasan will not be acting in his production venture.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Vikram as well as Haasan. Haasan is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ which is a spy-thriller and is a sequel to the 2013 release ‘Vishwaroopam’. As far as Vikram is concerned, he currently has ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ and ‘Sketch’ in his kitty. ‘Sketch’ is an action-thriller and will hit screens this Pongal. In it, he will be seen alongside Tamannaah. As far as ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ is concerned, it is a spy-thriller and has been directed by Gautham Menon. In it, he will be seen alongside Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma.
