According to a leading website, superstar Vikram magnum opus Mahavir Karna is all set to go on the floors from October and will most probably be shot on a budget of over Rs 300 crore. The highly ambitious film will be released in Tamil and Hindi and is likely to feature stars with a pan India appeal. Confirming the news, a source said that the shoot will begin in Hyderabad and subsequent portions will be shot in Canada.
“The principal shooting begins in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City from October. Predominant portions of the film will be shot in Hyderabad and Jodhpur. Some crucial portion will also be shot in Canada. Originally, the film was planned to be shot in Malayalam. But the makers have decided to release in Tamil and Hindi as well as they’re planning to rope in pan-Indian actors,” added the source.
Interestingly, the buzz is that Mahavir Karna will also be dubbed into 10 languages and given a wide release. Talking about this, the source added that a call on the matter will be taken later.
“Whether dub the film in other languages apart from the three main ones will be decided much later. The team hopes to release the film by December 2019,” added the source.
In case you did not know, Mahavir Karna is a BS Vimal directorial and was originally supposed to be made with Prithviraj in the lead. However, Prithvi opted out of the film for unknown reasons and Vikram bagged the role.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Vikram. He currently has Dhruva Natchathiram and Saamy Square in his kitty. Dhruva Natchathiram is a spy-thriller and will see him act opposite Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma. As far as Saamy Square is concerned, it is a sequel to Saamy and will see him act opposite Keerthy Suresh.
