During a recent interview with a leading daily, director Soundarya Rajinikanth revisited her maiden directorial venture ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ and said that it will always remain a special film for her. She went on add that it could not live up to expectations as audiences were actually expecting to see the real Rajinikanth at some point in the film.
“It will remain a dear project. But today, if I had to redo it, I would do it as a part-live part-CG film. I felt people expected to see Appa live at some point in the film, and they were disappointed they didn’t,” quipped Soundarya.
Moreover, the filmmaker spoke about her upcoming film ‘VIP 2’ and said that working with her brother-in-law and noted actor Dhanush was a terrific experience. Praising him, she added that he has the ability to get into the skin of his character within no time.
“All you have to do is explain the scene you’re going to shoot, and he gets into it so instantly that you end up admiring the person on the monitor. During VIP 2, he was doing three projects simultaneously; but he brought the same,” she added
Well, we are sure that Dhanush will be quite touched by these by kind words.
On a related note, ‘VIP 2’ is touted to be an action-comedy and features Amala Paul and Bollywood actress Kajol in the lead. A sequel to the 2014 release ‘VIP’, it is slated to hit screens next month and will see Dhanush reprising the Raghuvaran character from the first part.
