Actor Vishal, who is currently celebrating the success of Tamil thriller Irumbu Thirai, is reportedly all set to host a television show. Yes, reportedly the actor will mark his debut on the small screen. It is being said that the show will be hosted by Lakshmi Manchu’s television show Memu Saitham, which has a concept of raising fund for the needy family. Vishal will also do something along similar lines. He will get celebrity guests on his shows and will raise funds for the underprivileged.
According to a source quoted by Times of India, “Vishal will have celebrity guests on his shows, and will indulge them in a casual chat. One of the prominent segments will revolve around charity, where celebrities will raise funds for the underprivileged and those who are in dire need of money for medical treatment. Instead of doing it like a regular chat show, getting guests to do their bit for a cause will connect with the audiences.”
Meanwhile, Vishal was last seen in Tamil thriller Irumbu Thirai, which also starrer Samantha Akkineni. The film received a mixed response and did reasonable business at the Box Office. The film is witnessing a good run at the Box Office. Directed by PS Mithran, Irumbu Thirai also stars Arjun Sarja and is seen playing the baddie in it.
The makers of the film including the lead actor Vishal celebrated the success of Irumbu Thirai and held a press meet as well. Speaking at the meet, Vishal said that he faced numerous challenges in releasing the film even in the last minute. “Few people in the industry had a thought that Irumbu Thirai release should be stalled at least for a day so that others could say, ‘When a film from TFPC president himself is not releasing, how will he take care of other producers?’. The whole night till next day morning was a big learning experience to me about certain things in life. My friend mortgaged his car on night before Irumbu Thirai release to help me financially. I must really thank my friends, especially producer SR Prabhu for being strong support. He happens to be the major reason behind the film’s release,” said Vishal speaking to media.
The actor is currently looking forward to the release of Sandakozhi 2, which marks his reunion with director Linguswamy after a decade.
