A few days ago, Tamil star Rajinikanth announced that he would be forming his own political party and adding a new dimension to Tamil Nadu politics. He also added that he would be fielding candidates on all 234 constituencies during the next assembly elections and striving for change.
“I will be beginning my own party and will be contesting in the upcoming State Elections. We will independently stand in all 234 Constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Before the state election, we will discuss what we can do, and what we cannot do. If we don’t do what we promise, We will resign within 3 years. We will be running spiritual politics. In the past one year, Tamil Nadu politics has come down to a miserable state. People from the other states are frowning upon us. Even after all this, If I am going to stay quiet, my conscience will prick me to the day I die. This is the state and you are the people who are the reason I am living today,” he had said.
As expected, his announcement created a buzz in the industry and many stars praised him for finally entering politics. During a recent chat with a leading website, actor Vishal spoke about Rajini’s entry into politics and said that the ‘Baba’ star would definitely do good for the people of Tamil Nadu.
“Rajini sir has confirmed that he would soon announce his party’s name, flag, and contest in the upcoming State elections in all 234 constituencies. Thalaivar has stepped into politics. According to me, politics is a social service, and anyone can enter. I believe he will do good things for the people of Tamil Nadu. I will get down to the roads and speak for him, as an ardent volunteer,” added Vishal.
Well, these are some nice words and are bound to create a buzz amongst ‘Thalaiva’ fans.
Interestingly, Vishal too has political ambitions. He was keen to contest the RK Nagar bypoll and add a new dimension to his life but could not as his nomination papers were rejected by the Election Commission.
So, do you think Rajini will succeed in politics? Comments, please!
