Actor and producer Manchu Vishnu will be making debut in Tamil cinema with a film titled Kural 388 which is said to have a political theme to it. Directed by GS Karthik, Kural 388 credits the common man, a voter, as the hero and the story is narrated from that perspective. Actor Vishnu Manchu says that they have put in a lot of efforts in the making of the film and will ask a lot of questions. The makers of Kural 388 had released the first look poster of the film recently which raised a lot of eyebrows because of the images used in the poster – many politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It’s a straightforward movie, we’re naming a few real-time politicians in it, and are prepared,” Vishnu Manchu was quoted as saying by TOI.

“We had expected this response (to the posters) in both the states mainly because I know that with the current political scenario being what it is, none of my contemporaries would pick a subject at the moment, where they can point out what’s ailing the states’ politics and call out real-life politicians to take action,” Vishnu adds further.
Speaking about why he chose such a subject which could ruffle few feathers, Vishnu says, “In the last five years, I have done only action comedies, and successful ones. I started thinking I don’t want to be stuck in a loop. I mean action comedy I can do even when I am 70. At the moment, I wanted my career to be a curve that people talk about — my movies should be those that people should want to see again, remember me for.”
