Bollywood film ‘Padmavati’ starrring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh has been in controversy over the last few days apparently over the way a certain sect of a religion have been portrayed. The Bollywood film fraternity has come out in support of Padmavati, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actress Deepika Padukone and have condemned these threats issued against them. The latest to extend support to the film, taking it to the next level, actor and aspiring politician Kamal Haasan.
The Viswaroopam star took to his social networking page and wrote – “I wantMs.Deepika’s head.. saved. Respect it more than her body.Even more her freedom. Do not deny her that. Many communities have apposed my films.Extremism in any debate is deplorable. Wake up cerebral India.Time to think. We’ve said enough. Listen Ma Bharat.” Kamal Haasan has been very vocal about a lot of things lately and has been voicing out his opinion against or in support of things that he believed in.

He was involved in such controversies too when he hosting the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil.
