During a recent interaction with a leading daily, actress Akshara Haasan opened up about rumours of her doing a web series in the near future and said that she hasn’t finalised anything yet. However, at the same time, she said that she is currently discussing the matter with a few friends.
“I haven’t really signed in for anything yet. Although, I have been speaking with few people. Other than that there is nothing to confirm right now,” added the star.
Akshara went on to add that she does have a high opinion of the web as a platform for storytelling and feels that it is the need of the ‘new era’.
“We are in the new era. And I think web series is going to be taking over. It is a new medium for creating art and it pushes a lot of boundaries. I hope it works out well,” she added.
Well, we wish Akshara the very best and hope that she finds success in all her future ventures. On a related note, earlier this year, the lovely lady made her Kollywood debut with the much-hyped ‘Vivegam’ which opened to a phenomenal response at the box office despite getting mixed reviews. In it, she was seen alongside Ajith Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal.
At present, she is working as an assistant director on ‘Sabash Naidu’. A spy-comedy, it features her dad Kamal Haasan and sister Shruti Haasan in the lead. The supporting cast features names such as Ramya Krishnan and Vir Das.
