The charming Kajal Aggarwal is arguably one of the busiest and most popular stars in the Southern film industry today. During her highly successful career, she has won the love of movie buffs courtesy her sincere performances, good looks, elegant personality and A-list style game Moreover, she has become the heartthrob of the industry thanks to her bindass and amicable nature. As it so happens, recently, it was rumoured that Kajal would be quitting films after wrapping up her pending commitments and moving into a different field of work. Now, it seems that there was no truth behind the rumour. Addressing this speculation, Kajal told a website that she has no plans of quitting the industry and will not be going anywhere.
“That’s not true at all. I’m not going anywhere,” she added.
Well, it is indeed good to know this and we hope that she continues entertaining us with her work in the days to come. On a related note, 2017 was a pretty good year for Kajal. She began the year with ‘Khaidi No 150’ which also featured Chiranjeevi in the lead and did well at the box office. Thereafter, she was seen in ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ which emerged as a winner at the box office and received rave reviews along the way. Talking about the film, she had told a leading daily that she really enjoyed working with her mentor Teja again.
“I have teamed up with my mentor Teja sir for the second time after a decade. It’s been a pleasure working with him (Teja) as he encourages me to unlearn the nuances I have picked up over the span of my film career and to look at my character and this film with a fresh perspective,” she had added.
Post that, she delivered a solid performance in ‘Vivegam’ which marked her first collaboration with ‘Thala’ Ajith and did well at the box office. Talking about working with the superstar, she had said that it was a nice experience and called him a warm person.
“He is a warm person who is nice to everyone on the sets, right from the light boy to his co-actors. A spontaneous actor, his passion for cinema is seen in his reactions, which helps his co-actors. There is an aura of positivity around him. And, Ajith sir never interferes in the work of his co-actors but does give suggestions if he thinks it can enhance their performance,” Kal had told a leading daily.
Her last release of the year was ‘Mersal’. A Vijay starrer, this action-drama opened to a phenomenal response at the box office and became the talk of the town. Talking about working with Vijay, she called him a talented/genuine performer.
“He’s one of the most talented, genuine, and hard-working actors in our industry. I feel that he’s so good with his job that he raises the bar for everyone around him. No matter what character he plays, his versatility and his craft genuinely comes through, and it’s very interesting to be paired opposite him in different roles in different films because it challenges you to up your game, and I think that’s why our pair has been appreciated,” she had told a leading website.
At present, she has ‘Paris Paris’ and ‘MLA’ in her kitty. ‘Paris Paris’ is the official Tamil remake of ‘Queen’ and will see her essay the role played by Kangana Ranaut in the original version. A while ago, she had told a website that this is a challenging film for her as she is quite different in real-life for her character.
“It’s going to be a big challenge for me to be that naive because my upbringing has been quite different. I’ve had a lot of exposure to the world, thanks to my family. And my friends, extended family have always been very supportive. For the character that I play in the film, she’s from a simple background who hasn’t seen the world yet,” Kajal had told a leading website.
As far as ‘MLA’ is concerned, it is an entertainer and will see Kajal star screen space with her first co-star Kalyan Ram.
