Veteran actor Rajinikanth—who is arguably the biggest name in Tamil cinema—just reached Dehradun and continued his spiritual retreat. Shortly after arriving, ‘Thalaiva’—as fans love to call him—interacted with reporters and said that the trip has nothing to do with politics as it is spiritual in nature. The star also commented on his Hum co-star/Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan’s health and said that he would pray for his recovery.
“I have come here on a pilgrimage. It is a spiritual trip & has nothing to do with politics. Just now heard about it (Amitabh Bachchan’s health). I will pray to God, he will be alright,” he added.
In case you did not know, Big B is reportedly unwell and has been visiting the doctors for checkups in Jodhpur where he is currently shooting for Thugs Of Hindostan.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Rajini. On the last day of 2017, he took a plunge into politics and added a new dimension to his career. While making the announcement, he had said that his party would indulge in ‘spiritual politics’ and change the system.
“Before the state election, we will discuss what we can do, and what we cannot do. If we don’t do what we promise, We will resign within 3 years. We will be running spiritual politics. In the past one year, Tamil Nadu politics has come down to a miserable state. People from the other states are frowning upon us. Even after all this, If I am going to stay quiet, my conscience will prick me to the day I die. This is the state and you are the people who are the reason I am living today,” he had added.
On the film front, he currently has 2.0 and Kaala in his kitty.
