There can be no denying that Aishwarya Rajesh is one of the most talented and popular young stars in Tamil cinema today. In just a few years, she has carved a niche for herself thanks to her solid performances, elegant personality and warm/lively nature. Moreover, she has proved that she is someone who loves living life on her own terms. Today, as Aishwarya celebrates her birthday, let us take a quick look at her personal and professional life.
She was born on 10 January 1990 in Chennai and received her education in the city itself. In 2011, she made her big screen debut with ‘Avargalum Ivargalum’ and began a new chapter in life. The very next year, she gained more recognition when she starred opposite Dinesh in the surprise hit ‘Attakathi’ and delivered a commendable act.
It is, however, the 2015 release ‘Kaaka Muttai’ that fans regard as her breakthrough performance. In the comedy-drama, she essayed the role of a young mother and became the toast of K-town. A commercial success, it helped her bag a Tamil Nadu state award and add a feather to her cap. The next year, she delivered an equally commendable performance in ‘Dharma Durai’ and proved her mettle as an actress again.
Last year, she made her Malayalam debut with the Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal’ and began a chapter in life. In 2017, she also entered Bollywood with ‘Daddy’ and delivered a commendable performance. In it, she was paired opposite Arjun Rampal and earned rave reviews for her performance.
Speaking about the film, she had said that shooting in a new language was a challenging experience for her.
“It was very difficult. While doing Tamil films, I never took prompting because I know the language. For Daddy, while I did try prompting, it didn’t really work out. So I had to mug up all my lines. Apart from the language, everything else was very easy,” she had told a leading website.
At present, she has two big films in her kitty—namely ‘Vada Chennai’ and ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’. ‘Vada Chennai’ is touted to be a gangster drama and has been directed by Vetrimaaran. In it, she will be seen alongside Dhanush and Andrea.
As far as ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ is concerned, it is spy-thriller and has been directed by Gautham Menon. In it, she will be seen alongside Vikram and Ritu Varma.
Talking about the film, Aishwarya had said that Vikram is a pretty helpful co-star and a warm person.
“Vikram sir is very encouraging… you feel an energy boost when you see him. Being a top hero, he could have easily opted for bigger heroines, but he insisted that someone like me be a part of the film. He keeps giving valuable suggestions and retains that childlike enthusiasm,” she had told a leading daily.
