Last month, the lovely Nayanthara added another feather to her cap when her hard-hitting ‘Aramm’ became a commercial success and received praise from all quarters. Produced by KJ Rajesh, it featured her in the role of a collector and helped her prove why she is called K-town resident ‘Lady Superstar’. Revolving around the water scarcity problem, it received praise from not just fans but celebs as well. Talking about the film, Sivakarthikeyan had said that it is ‘touching’ story that raised a valid point.

“There is no entertainment quotient in Nayanthara’s Aramm and the makers have made a bold decision of straight away jumping into the strong content. It is a wonderful and touching film which is a must watch for one and all as it touches upon important and essential issues and engages audiences throughout,” SK had added.

Now, there is more good news for ‘Thalaivi’ fans. As it so happens, a pic from the shoot location of her ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ is creating a buzz on the social media and that too for all the right reasons. In it, she can be seen with a young girl. And, as expected, she looks gorgeous. Her relaxed expressions gel quite well with her elegant avatar and up its recall value in a big way. That’s how you make an impact!

In case you did not know, ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ is touted to be a thriller and has been directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu. Besides Nayan, it also has Atharvaa and Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in the lead. Sometime ago, while speaking about the decision to cast the ‘Dev D’ director, Ajay had said that he is the right choice for the role.

“I’m a huge fan of Anurag’s films. When I saw him in Murugadoss’s Akira, as the cop-villain, I was convinced he was the perfect choice for the role of villain Rudra. I saw Anurag’s rare combination of subtlety, intensity and unpredictability which is what I needed. Rudra holds the story together. If I couldn’t cast Anurag, I felt my film wouldn’t be complete. The characteristics Anurag displayed were in sync with what I had written. He evokes such fear with his subtle and sheer villainy, making him the perfect choice,” he had told a website.

On a related note, Nayanthara will next be seen in the eagerly-awaited ‘Velaiklaran’ which hits screens on December 22. In it, she will be seen alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil. A Mohan Raja directorial, it will clash at the box office with the B-town biggie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and Akhil’s ‘Hello’.

At the Velaikkaran audio launch, SK and had praised Nayan and said that her search for perfection is what makes her a star.

“It is a happy moment to act with Nayanthara. I first saw her at the shooting spot of Aegan. Myself and Arunraja were supposed to come in brief roles in the film, and at that time, we saw her. Then, it was Ethir Neechal, where she made an appearance for a song. After that, only at the shooting spot of Velaikkaran, I saw her. The one thing that hasn’t changed at all in all these three film shooting spots, is her punctuality and perfection. That is why, I feel, that she has established a market for herself,” he had added.

Besides ‘Velaikkaran’, she also has ‘Jai Simha’ and ‘Sye Raa Narasiimha Reddy’ in her kitty. Jai Simha is an action-drama and has been directed by KS Ravikumar. The film will see her share screen space with Balakrishna once again. The two have previously collaborated for ‘Shri Rama Rajyam’ and ‘Simha’. As such, fans are bound to have high expectations from this new film. It will be worth watching whether Nayan-NBK are able to create some magic again.

As far as ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is concerned, it is a period drama and is being directed by Surender Reddy. It has already created quite a buzz in the industry and may turn out to be the next big thing in the Tollywood. In it, the diva will be seen alongside megastar Chiranjeevi. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. AR Rahman was originally supposed to score music for ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’. However, he opted out sighting other commitments.
