It is an open secret that the popular and dashing Ajith Kumar is one of the most bankable and iconic names in Tamil cinema today. During his highly illustrious career in Kollywood ,‘Thala’—as he is so affectionately called by fans—has won the love of moviegoers thanks to his classy personality, gripping performances and humble and warm nature. Furthermore, he has delivered quite a few hits and proved that he is a dependable name in the purest sense. Now, the star is in the limelight again.
As it so happens, earlier today, Ajith paid a visit to the late Sridevi’s Chennai house and met her family. He was accompanied by wife Shalini and seemed to be in a serious mood. For the benefit of those who do not know, Sri and Ajith worked together in the Tamil version of English Vinglish and managed to impress fans with their brief onscreen interaction.

Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, and this left fans heartbroken. While initial reports suggested that she died because of a heart attack, it was later on revealed that she died because of accidental drowning in a bathtub.
Shortly after the news of her demise broke, several stars offered their condolences to her family. The veteran actor had been a part of the film world right from childhood and established herself as cinema’s ‘Last Empress’. Her most notable films are Moondram Pirai, Bobbili Puli and 16 Vayathinile to name a few. She also conquered Bollywood and became its first female superstar. Her noteworthy Hindi films include Chandini, Mr. India and Lamhe to name a few.
She was last seen in MOM. Released in 2017, it did well at the box office and earned rave reviews along the way. Sridevi truly will be missed and there will never be another like her.
