Saravanan Irukka Bhayamean

Saravanan Irukka Bhayamean, starring Udayanidhi Stalin and Regina Cassandra, released today in theatres worldwide. The film is directed by Ezhil and is touted to be a horror comedy. Udayanidhi Stalin is working on this kind of genre for the first time in his career.

Saravanan Irukka Bhayamean is the story of a jobless young guy who is spending most of his time with his friends. He ends up in a situation where he becomes the local leader of a National Party, and in the process crashes all the political aspirations of his uncle, who is a member of the same political party. His uncle ends up going out of the country because of this mix up by Uday and takes up a petty job for survival. Udayanidhi meets Regina Cassandra through one of his relatives and falls for her at the first instance. His uncle, Kalyanam, in the meanwhile returns to the country and seeks vengeance from Uday for his ouster from the political party. How Udayanidhi manages to come out of this whole situation is the crux of Saravanan Irukka Bhayamean.

Director Ezhil has managed to rope in most of the comic actors in Tamil industry which includes Madhumitha, Robot Shankar, Madan Bob, Yogi Babu, Manobala and Chaams. Udayanidhi had delivered a geat pefromance in his mrevious movie, Manithan, but doesn’t match up to those levels in Saravanan Irukka Bhayamean.

The film starts of on a good note, but fails to keep viewers entertained till the end. Post intermission, the film hardly has any muscle to make it to the climax. There were a lot of expectations on Saravanan Irukka Bhayamean post Manithan for Uday but looks like this might tank at the box office.

Going by the response of viewers and buzz in the social media, might not be a successful outing for the actors.
