The third edition of Zee Apsara awards 2018 paid tribute to women achievers from all walks of life. The first-of-its-kind platform in South India, the event saw celebrities in the best style statements. While some slayed in amazing outfits, some disappointed us with their sartorial choices.
Here’s a look at the best and worst dressed from Apsara awards 2018!
Mehreen Pirzada: Mehreen Pirzada made a very safe yet best choice for her pink carpet look. Mehreen looked hot in a slit-cut Nikhil Thampi one-shouldered gown from his 2015 Spring Lakme collection. The black-tie up sandals totally stood out.
Kajal Aggarwal: Kajal Aggarwal has redefined glamour in a stunning ruffled sari by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Well, carrying such dramatic sari is surely not everyone’s cup of tea, she definitely carried it well. Going jewellery free, she let her outfit do all the talking.
Tamannaah Bhatia: Tamannaah Bhatia walked the pink carpet in Anamika Khanna separates. She rounded off her look with diamond jewellery and side-swept hair in a bun.
Lakshmi Manchu: Lakshmi Manchu looked stunning in a blue off-shoulder gown that had ruffles at the edge. She finished out her look with diamond neckpiece and a messy hair bun.
Lavanya Tripathi: Lavanya Tripathi picked strapless dress by designer Shriya Som and the frill part of the outfit looked quite tacky. It looks more a piece of a curtain or a tablecloth that has been over layered.
Shruti Haasan: Shruti Haasan, who won the ‘icon of the decade’ award at Apsara awards 2018 picked ice blue embellished outfit by ‘Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan’. She surely grabbed eyeballs with the dramatic dress but a more subtle outfit could have been a better pick. The outfit looked a lot unstructured.
