April 28th, 2017 was the day which was the beginning of a new phase in Indian cinema – release of Baahubali: The Conclusion. The film released in more than 7000 screens across India which in itself is a record. Baahubali 2 went on to earn more than Rs.1500 crores worldwide which is now the highest for any Indian cinema. After having had a great run in India, US, Europe and many other nations, Baahubali 2 was recently released in Japan and the film has been having a terrific run in the South Asian nation. And as Baahubali: The Conclusion turns a year old today, Telugu audience and movie buffs are posting celebratory messages on social media and showering their love towards the cinema. Actor Prabhas too posted an emotional message after the film turned a year older and is still going strongly in few locations.

Our film, Baahubali 2 completes 1 year today… This day will always remain special to me. A big hug to all my fans and lots of love back to you all. Thank you for being part of this beautiful and emotional journey of mine. Congratulations and immense gratitude to SS Rajamouli and the entire team,” posted Prabhas on his Facebook page showing the kind of emotional connect he has with the film.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali was made in two parts – Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion – which released with a gap of two years. Both the parts of Baahubali were produced by Shonu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Media Works. Besides Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah were also seen playing the lead roles in both the parts while Ramya Krishna and Sathyaraj played pivotal roles. Baahubali, till date, stands as the highest collecting film in Indian cinema with the earnings over Rs.1800 crore worldwide.
