2001 was the year that changed the career of power star Pawan Kalyan after his film Kushi released. Directed by SJ Suryah, Kushi featured Pawan Kalyan in the lead role while Bhumika Chawla played his love interest in it. Kushi went on to become one of the biggest hits in Pawan Kalyan’s career after a while and made him one of the biggest stars in South Indian cinema. Although the film was a remake of Tamil film with same title starring Vijay and Jyothika, the Telugu version did some great business earning more than Rs.23 crores at that point in time. Kushi released on today’s date in 2001, April 27th, 2018 and is one of the most favourite films of Telugu audiences. The film turns 17 years old today and to celebrate producer A.M.Ratnam met Pawan Kalyan and had a brief meeting with the actor-turned-politician. Pawan Kalyan, despite being busy with his political meetings, took time out and both of them spoke for a while about the film and other things. Here are few photos of Pawan Kalyan and A.M.Ratnam who met after their collaboration Kushi completed 17 years today:
Pawan Kalyan currently has no films lined up and is pretty busy with his political aspirations. Pawan Kalyan started his own party, Jana Sena Party, and is contemplating to contest in the upcoming elections in 2019. Pawan Kalyan was last seen in Trivikram Srinivas’ directorial Agnyaathavaasi which could not live up to the expectations of the audience. Despite a heavy star cast, Agnyaathavaasi turned out to be a dud at the box office although the first 3 days’ earnings display a different picture.
