The young and dashing Naga Chaitanya is going through a terrific phase in life these days. This October, he tied the knot with Samantha Akkineni and began a new chapter in life. On October 6, the two got married as per Hindu traditions in a grand ceremony. The very next day, they walked down the aisle in a Christian ceremony. Since then, Sam and Chai have been enjoying life as a married couple to the fullest. Now, Naga Chaitanya is in the news again. As it so happens, on the sideliners of a recent store launch, Chai spoke about his personal style statement and said that he loves wearing jewellery that is a bit edgy without being to ‘in your face’.
“I like to keep it minimalistic and subtle. The jewellery I wear should have that edgy element to it. It should stand out and make a statement. I like to wear accessories that give the outfit an element of extravagance, yet aren’t in your face,” he added.
He went on to add that jewellery is no longer for women as men too love to accessorise their look with bracelets.
“I know associating men with jewellery is like an oxymoron! However, I have been wearing jewellery since the last two years and believe that jewellery isn’t just a woman thing anymore. Men are accessorising a great deal these days, be it with a bracelet or a chain. And I love doing it too,” he added.
Well, these are some nice statements and prove that Naga Chaitanya’s sense of style has really evolved over the years.
On the work front, the young heartthrob was last seen in ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ which received negative reviews from all quarters. An action-thriller, it was directed by Krishna vMarimuthu and also featured Lavanya Tripathi in the lead.
At present, Chai is shooting for ‘Savyasachi’. The film is been directed by ‘Premam’ directed Chandoo Mondeti and will see the ‘Yuva Samrat’ share screen space with Nidhhi Agerwal Tamil actor Madhavan too is a part of the film and will be making his Tollywood debut with this one.
Sometime ago, Chai had said that he will be playing the role of a man with a disability in ‘Savyasachi’.
“My left hand will be non-functional in the film and the story revolves around the consequences I face as a result of it. The situations the lead actor faces are unique, and are inspired from real-life. I am quite excited to begin work,” he had told a leading daily.
Similarly, Niddhi—who will be entering Telugu cindema with this—had said that she will be seen playing the role of an innocent girl in ‘Savyasachi’. She had also added that she is keen to make a name for herself in the Southern industry.
“Savyasachi is an action romantic film and I’m getting to work with some very nice people. I play the role of a simple girl who’s very innocent and independent. So, it’s not so glamorous like ‘Munna Michael’. It’s fun, actually, to play a contrasting role. The Telugu industry and their scripts are extremely nice. I’ve noticed that Hindi films do well in the north, but they don’t do that well in the south. But, I want everything! I want the north and the south,” he had told a leading news agency.
Well, we wish team ‘Savyasachi’ good luck and hope that the film does well at the box office. So, do you like Naga Chaitanya’s style statement? Comments, please!
