There can be no denying that the lovely Sai Pallavi is one of the most popular young actresses in the Southern film industry today. She made her big screen debut in 2015 with the hit ‘Premam’. A romantic-drama, it received praise from movie goers as well as critics and saw her star opposite Mollywood sensation Nivin Pauly. Talking about its success, she had said that the film helped her grow as a person and gave her confidence.

“On the release day, I called up Nivin and Alphonse and wept because I was convinced my role as ‘Malar Teacher’ would be panned. I was proven wrong. Alphonse wanted me to appear natural on screen, because he said it would give people confidence. Ironically, it gave me confidence. I don’t hide anymore,” she had told a leading daily.

Thereafter, the lovely lady tasted success once again with the 2016 release ‘Kali’. Directed by Sameer Thahir, it was a drama and saw her share screen space with the much-loved Dulquer Salmaan. Earlier this year, she entered the Telugu film industry with ‘Fidaa’ and added a new dimension to her career. A romantic-drama, it was directed by Shekhar Kammula and became a runaway hit at the box office. In it, she played the role of a lady from Telangana and became the newest heartthrob of T-town.

Talking about the film’s success, she had said that she felt overwhelmed by the love she received for her portrayal of the adorable Bhanumathi.

“It feels so overwhelming. I was really surprised by this kind of response, especially for my dialogues in the Telangana accent. I’m on cloud nine. Having learnt the Telangana accent, whenever I think of Telugu now, I can only relate with this accent,” she had told a news agency.

Right now, she is gearing up for the release of ‘MCA’. The film is a Venu Sree Raam directorial and will see her share screen space with Nani. As expected, this fresh pairing has created a buzz in the industry and made the wait for the film quite difficult. Now, it seems that the buzz surrounding the film is set to receive a shot in the arm. The ‘Family Party’ number from ‘MCA’ has been released and it is quite lively. In it, Sai Pallavi and Nani can be seen indulging in some celebrations while enjoying themselves to the fullest. The video has a colourful vibrant feel to it and this ups its celebratory nature in a big way. We are sure that the track will be a major highlight of the film.

Interestingly, sometime ago, Dil Raju had said that the film will be an absolute delight for people from a middle-class background.

“Middle-Class boys & girls will own this film. Nani and Sai Pallavi’s chemistry will be a treat to watch. Very happy that Bhumika is playing a pivotal role in this film. We are confident that MCA will complete our hattrick list in 2017,” he had said during a press meet.

Interestingly, ‘MCA’ will be arriving a day before Akhil Akkineni starrer ‘Hello’. And, not surprisingly, this clash has created a buzz in the trade circles. However, Dil Raju is worried about it. Speaking on the topic, he had said that both films have the potential to do well at the box office.

“Akhil’s Hello visuals are fantastic. I wish Telugu audience will love both MCA & Hello for this Christmas,” he had added.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Sai Pallavi. Besides ‘MCA’, she also has ‘Kanam’ in her kitty. It is touted to be a horror-thriller and will see her essay the role of a young mother. Sometime ago, the director AL Vijay had said that Sai Pallavi has done a terrific job in it.

“Right from the beginning, I was very confident that Sai would be able to pull it off. I watched Premam as well as Kali. I loved her performance in both. She was very impressive in the latter. She has done a wonderful job in Karu,” he had told a daily.

So, are you looking forward to ‘MCA’? Will it work at the box office? Comments, please!
