Nani

Nani—who is quite a popular name in Telugu cinema—ended 2017 on a perfect note when his ‘MCA’ opened to a good response at the box office while receiving rave reviews along the way. A family-drama, it also had Sai Pallavi in the lead and worked with the critics courtesy its good performances.  With 2017 in the rearview, Nani is currently gearing up for the release of ‘AWE’. The film has been produced by him and features him in a voice role.

During the film’s pre-release event, Nani spoke about his decision to produce the film and said that it is his way of repaying the film world for making him a star. He also made it clear that he did not turn producer just to make some profits and stressed that his respect for those in the production business has increased a lot courtesy ‘AWE’.

“Everything I have earned so far is through cinema. I want to give back to the same cinema. I told myself ‘if I don’t support such interesting story ideas, then we won’t be able to see different films getting made in the Telugu film industry. A lot of people would think that I turned producer to make profits. Honestly, it’s not easy to make a film today. After producing Awe, my respect for other producers grew manifold,” added the actor.

Well, we wish Nani good luck and hope that ‘AWE’ does good business at the box office. In case you did not know, the film has been directed by Prasanth Varma  and has Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. The supporting cast includes names such as Nithya Menen and Regina Cassandra.  If all goes as per plan, ‘AWE’ will hit screens on February 16.
