During a recent interaction with Times of India, actress Shruti Haasan opened up about the disadvantages of being a star-kid and said that fans expect her to be as good as her parents almost immediately. She went on to add that such a thing is not acceptable as everyone needs time to grow and improve.

“When you come from a filmi family, the door is open for you to make your entry . But, while it is easy to get an opportunity in films, it also has its share of cons. People expect you act like Kamal Haasan or Sarika immediately, which is impossible. All of us learn… and I am sure even they learnt when they started doing films.Sometimes, I feel these expectations are not very realistic,” she added.

Well, these are some hard-hitting words and prove that Shruti Haasan is one bold indiviual.
Interestingly, Shruti is going through a difficult phase on the professional front these days. Her last outing ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ under performed at the box office and failed to impress critics.

At present, she has the long-delayed ‘Sabaash Naidu’ in her kitty. The film is a spy-comedy and is being directed by her dad and veteran actor Kamal Haasan. As it so happens, she was originally supposed to be a part of Sundar C’s ‘Sangamithra’ as well. However, sometime ago, she backed out of it and claimed that the script was not ready.

So, what is your take on Shruti’s comments? Do you agree with her? Tell us in the space below.

The advantages outweigh disadvantages by a far need for star kids to complain all the time!
