Popular Telugu star Nani met with a car accident that took place in the wee hours of Friday in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills area.

The car that the actor was traveling in rammed into an electric pole after the driver dozed off behind the wheel.

A case against Nani’s driver, who has been identified as Srinivas, has been booked under Section 3 of PDPP (prevention of damage to public property) Act. He is under investigation.

Nani was returning home after the shoot and was seated in the backseat at the time of the accident. The airbags in the car saved the occupants of the car from serious injuries. Nani has suffered minor bruises but nothing to worry about. He took to his Twitter account to convey about his well being to his fans. He wrote, “I’m okay 🙂 Just a few bruises here and there .. Small break from the Yudham .. Will be back in action in a week!’’

Nani is currently shooting for Krishnarjuna Yuddham, which is helmed by director Merlapaka Gandhi. The movie also stars Anupama Parmeswaran and Rukshar Mir in pivotal roles. In the movie, the actor plays a double role of Krishna and Arjun. While one of the characters seems to be that of a stylish and Rockstar look, other one has a rustic and rural look to it.

‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’ will be Rukshar Mir’s third film in Tollywood and will be first with one of the big stars of the industry. The film is majorly shot in Prague, Europe and the Czech Republic and is set to hit the screens on April 12 this year. The actor was last seen in Middle Class Abbayi (MCA), which was released during the Christmas weekend in the last year. Despite critics slamming the film, the audience gave huge thumbs up to it and made it a very successful film at the box office.
