After a long wait, Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi released worldwide yesterday, January 10th, 2018 worldwide and is one of the biggest releases in Tollywood this year to begin with. Agnyaathavaasi had already collected more than $1 million in the US from the premiere shows even before the first shows were screened. This led to speculations that the film will be blockbuster hit and will earn a collection of more than INR 100 crores globally. After the first shows of the film, reviews started pouring which did not help the film gain any momentum forward. The film started receiving poor reviews from audience and critics as well and was termed as one of the weakest works of Trivikram Srinivas ever. Also, the plagiarism row hanging on the film, the word of mouth was not of great help to make it a successful one. However, this did not affect the collections of Agnyaathavaasi at box office on the first day.
It is being reported that Agnyaathavaasi has collected more than INR 40 crores on day 1 of release making it the highest for any film in Tollywood after Baahubali. And with the festival holidays around the corner, trade experts are predicting that the collections may be on the rise. However, after not so good reviews for the film spreading like fire, many are predicting that the collections may eventually take a dip. The first three days of release are expected to have highest occupancy since the reservations on ticketing portals have been sold out for the first four days in advance booking.
Agnyaathavaasi, besides Pawan Kalyan, stars Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emmanuel as the leading ladies while actress Khushbu, Boman Irani, Rao Ramesh and Murli Sharma will be seen playing important roles in the film. Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen playing the antagonist in Agnyaathavaasi who has already donned similar roles in Sarrainodu opposite Allu Arjun. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander which is another exciting element about the film.
