As Agnyaathavaasi copyright row heats up, ‘Largo Winch’ director expresses a desire to watch Pawan Kalyan’s film

Telugu star Pawan Kalyan is currently gearing up for the release of his eagerly-awaited ‘Agnyaathavaasi’. And, needless to say, the film has created quite a buzz amongst fans for all the right reasons. However, it recently ran into trouble T-series sent the makers of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ a copyright violation notice. In it, T-series said that the Trivikram Srinivas director is based on the French film ‘Largo Winch’ and added that the rights to remake it are with them. Now, in an unexpected development, ’Largo Winch’ director Jerome Salle has expressed a desire to watch ‘Agnyaathavaasi’. Commenting on the matter, he said that he will be coming to India and watching the film.

“I think I’m gonna buy a ticket (plane first than movie) #Curiosity #Agnyaathavaasi #LargoWinch,” he added.

Well, this is a developing situation and it will be worth watching what happens next.

In case you did not know, ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ is slated to hit screens this Sankranti and will be PK’s first release since ‘Katamarayudu’. In it, we be seen sharing screen space with Keerthy Suresh for the first time ever. An interesting highlight of the film is that it marks music director Anirudh’s entry into Telugu films. Sometime ago, he had said that he will be experimenting with his musical style in this one.

“It’ll be a new sound for Telugu, but it will also be ‘desi’ and mainstream. Trivikram is a chilled-out director, and we’ve struck a good rapport. He lets me make the song in Tamil,” he had told a leading daily.

On a related note, the ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ audio launch was held a few days ago and it proved to be quite a memorable event. At the audio launch,  PK had spoken about his political plans and said that he will always be grateful to his fans for supporting him throughout his career.
