Akkineni Nagarjuna returns to Bollywood, joins Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan in Brahmastra

According to media reports, Nagarjuna has joined the stellar star cast of Brahmastra.

South star Nagarjuna is making a huge comeback to Bollywood after almost a decade. The actor, who was last seen in LOC Kargil (2003), will be a part of much-talked-about Bollywood film Brahmastra. The film, which is being directed by Ayan Mukerji, stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan, dashing Ranbir Kapoor and Raazi star Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. According to media reports, Nagarjuna has joined the stellar star cast of Brahmastra. The actor has joined the team on the Mumbai sets today. Akkineni Nagarjuna had been waiting for a long to make his comeback in Bollywood. However, could not find anything interesting. Finally, Nagarjuna gave a nod to this interesting project and mainly, because of his good friend Amitabh Bachchan being a part of the film.

A Deccan Chronicle report quoted a source as saying, “Nagarjuna wanted to do a Hindi film from a long time, but was looking for an interesting project. He finally gave his nod to this one. He will join the Hindi film’s sets from Tuesday onwards in Mumbai.”

Nagarjuna is presently doing a multi-starrer along with Nani under the direction of Bhale Manchi Roju fame Sriram Aditya.

Talking about Brahmastra, it is one of the much-talked-about upcoming films. Director Ayan Mukerji had been working on the project since last six years. “This film is a modern day film. It is set in India as it exists today but the name of the film is Brahmastra because the energy, wisdom and powers in the film come from ancient India. As far as costumes are concerned, there are some which may not be the way you would expect them to be,” Ayan had earlier said.
