Allu Arjun’s Tamil debut to start rolling in 2018

Nearly a year ago, during a grand press meet, Telugu star Allu Arjun had said that he would be making his Kollywood debut with a film directed by Linguswamy. And, as expected, this had created a buzz amongst fans. However, shortly after the announcement, this project was put on the backburner. This led to speculation of it being shelved. However, according to a leading daily, the film is pretty much on track and will go on the floors in 2018.

Confirming the same, a source said that the makers wanted to begin the film in 2017 itself but could not because of Bunny’s busy schedule.

“A script has been locked and pre-production activities will begin too. Director Linguswamy has to wrap up his ongoing project with Vishal, post which he will begin work on the same. Meanwhile, Bunny will finish Naa Peru Surya too. They wanted to start shooting in 2017 but some other commitments came their way. Now, they have everything settled,” added the source.

Well, we wish Allu Arjun the very best and hope that his maiden Kollywood film does well at the box office. On a related note, Bunny was last seen in ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’. An action-comedy, it was directed by Harish Shankar and opened to a good response at the box office. At present, Bunny is shooting for Naa Peru Surya. In it, he will be seen alongside the lovely Anu Emmanuel.

So, do you think Allu Arjun will be able to make an impact in Tamil cinema as well? Comments, please!
