Actor Allu Sirish was last seen in Okka Kshanam, a thriller, which was directed by Vi Anand. The film was a story about parallel lives and also starred Surbhi, Seerat Kapoor and Srinivas Avasarala. The film went on to become a successful one and had a decent run at the BO. After Okka Kshanam, Sirish will now appear in a remake which will be of a Malayalam film. ABCD (American-Born Confused Desi) which starred young sensation Dulquer Salmaan will be remade with Sirish in the lead role and will be directed by debutante Sanjiv Reddy. The film is yet to be titled and will be produced by Madhura Sreedhar.
“I’m kicked about this film as it has an interesting plot. It’s a film about a US-born rich guy who comes to India for a trip. But he is forced to stay back and finish his graduation here by his father who makes him live a normal, middle class life. How this spoilt brat transforms into a better man as a result is the crux of the story,” Sirish told Times of India in an interview.

Sirish further adds that the role will be spoilt rich kid and lives in his own world. “I play a spoilt, rich kid, who leads an indulgent life. He is so caught up in his happy cocoon, that he doesn’t realise what’s happening in the world around until he moves to India and starts living a normal life,” he further adds.
The makers are on the lookout for the female lead actor and are looking at various options. “The hunt for the heroine and the rest of the cast and crew in on presently,” the Srirasthu Subhamasthu actor added further.
This will be Sirish’s sixth film as lead actor after having made his debut with Gouravam in Telugu and Tamil which was directed by Radha Mohan.
