After six long years, actress Ileana D’Cruz is all set to make her Tollywood comeback as she replaces Anu Emmanuel as the female lead of upcoming Ravi Teja-starrer Amar Akbar Anthony. The actress joins Amar Akbar Anthony team as they begin with the shooting of the film with a new schedule.

The makers of the film welcomed Ileana D’Cruz with an amazing note that reads:- “It’s good to have you back in Telugu cinema.”

Earlier, Mythri Movie Makers took to Twitter to announce that due to the unavailability of dates for their long 50 days USA schedule, Anu Emmanuel will not be working in the film. The makers of the film gave a clarification after rumours started doing rounds that Anu Emmanuel has been replaced due to some other reasons.

Anu Emmanuel had sent social media buzzing after she tweeted about walking out of the project. Unfortunately, the actress can’t be a part of the film due to date clash between Amar Akbar Anthony and another film, Sailaja Reddy Alludu.

“Unfortunately I won’t be a part of #AmarAkbarAnthony due to date clash between #SailajaReddyAlludu. I wish the team of #AmarAkbarAnthony all the best (sic),” the actress had posted on Twitter.

Mythri Movie Makers is producing Amar Akbar Anthony. Mahadhan, who made his screen debut with Raja The Great as the younger Ravi Teja will make an appearance in Amar Akbar Anthony too. Ravi Teja and Srinu Vaitla have previously worked on hit films like Venky and Dubai Seenu which were hit films in Tollywood.

Ileana was last seen in a Telugu film with her Kick co-star Ravi Teja in Devudu Chesina Manushulu, directed by Puri Jagannadh in 2012.
