Baahubali 2 faced a major hurdle in the state of Karnataka for a release. Vattal Nagaraj, the president of Kannada group Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha, protested the release of Baahubali 2 demanding an apology from actor Sathyaraj regarding few comments he had made few years ago during Cauvery water issue. Sathyaraj apologised for his comments and said that he is not against the people of Karnataka, Naagaraj withdrew his protest and said that they will drop the matter here since Sathyaraj regrets his comments. But recent reports suggest that Baahubali 2 has found support in another state’s government and it’s a great news for the makers.
The government of Andhra Pradesh has allowed the theatres to run six shows of Baahubali and it will be for ten days. The statement read – “In the circumstances represented in the applications sited, Government after careful examination of the issue, hereby permit to screen six shows per day temporarily for ten days w.e.f 28.04.2017 to 07.05.2017 from 7 AM to 2.30 AM in the designated theatres of all the districts in the state, in connection with the release of “Baahubali-2” cinema on 28.04.2017.”
This should make the producers and director of Baahubali 2 happy after all the chaos they had to go through in Karnataka. Before Sathyaraj came out apologised, Rajamouli posted an emotional video on his social networking page appealing the people of Karnataka to cooperate with them in the release of Baahubali 2. Baahubali 2 is hitting the big screens on 28th April 2017 worldwide in thousands of screens. Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in key roles.
