In 2017, the charming Anushka Shetty gave her fans a big reason to celebrate when she delivered a solid performance in the juggernaut called ‘Baahubali 2’ and left the audience asking for more. Everything about her act—right from that classy look to her refined body language—seemed to be perfect and added a new dimension to the film. Furthermore, her crackling chemistry with Prabhas too worked wonders for SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus.

With ‘Baahubali 2’ in the rearview, Anushka is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Bhaagamathie’. The film has already created a buzz amongst fans courtesy its trailer and gripping posters which feature Anushka in a new avatar. Now, there is some good news for those who are looking forward to its release.  In an exciting development, ‘Bhaagamathie’ has been completed censor formalities and been cleared with a U/A certificate. As such, it will keep its date with the audience and hit screens on January 26,

In case you did not know, ‘Bhaagamathie’ has been directed by G Ashok and features a multi-layr plot. Sometime ago, the director had said that it can’t be put into one particular genre.

“It’s neither a biopic or nor a period drama with fantasy elements. It’s a thriller, though I wouldn’t confine it to just one genre. There are a lot of other exciting factors too in the screenplay,” he had told a leading website.

Besides Anushka, it also has Unni Mukundan and Mollywood veteran Jayaram in the lead. Jayaram will apparently be seen in a grey role here while Unni Mukundan will playing Anushka’s friend/love interest.

Interestingly, ‘Bhaagamathie’ will be clashing at the box office with ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Padman’. It will be worth watching these Bollywood biggies affect its box office prospects.

So, are you looking forward to ‘Bhaagamathie’? Comments, please!
