That Bollywood hit film Queen starring Kangana Ranaut is being remade in all the four South Indian languages is something we all know. The Kannada remake will feature Parul Yadav in the lead role while the Tamil remake will star Kajall Aggarwal. Tamannaah Bhatia and Manjima Mohan will feature in Telugu and Malayalam remakes of Queen respectively. The makers had shot few portions in India and Paris for all the remakes. However, the shoot of the Telugu remake titled Queen again came to a halt after director Neelakanta Reddy opted out of the film. there were rumours that the director had a spat with the lead actor Tamannaah which resulted in him opting out. However, the makers said that nothing of those sorts has happened and they will soon resume the shoot of the film.
And speculations are now rife about Neelakanta opting out after the latest reports. Emerging reports reveal that the makers have now roped in young filmmaker Prashanth Varma who directed AWE which was produced by Nani. Reports reveal that Prashanth will join the team soon and begin shooting the remain parts of the Queen remake.
The remakes are being produced by Manu Kumaran under the banner Mediente Films and is co-produced by actor Parul Yadav. The unit of the film recently returned from France where all the lead actresses shot for their portions of the film, and all of them seem to have had a great time canning their scenes. Parul started shooting for the remake of Queen, Butterfly, back in June this year and interestingly the shooting kicked off on the birthday of the Sandalwood actress. “It’s the most overwhelming feeling that I get to start this very important film of my career on my birthday. It has been a wonderful journey so far, but I am really looking forward to this new chapter that will unfold in my life,” Parul had said.
