After crashing all possible records at the box office, Baahubali 2 is going great guns not just in India but worldwide. The film has earned INR 500 crores so far, and it is the just fifth day of the release. At this speed, the golden number of INR 1000 crores doesn’t seem far away for the magnum opus. On the first day of release, Baahubali earned a mammoth INR 100 crores in just Indian markets. Records are being broken at jet speed by this film and the end doesn’t seem to be soon.
While all this is happening, Baahubali 2 will be screened at the reputable British Film Institute in London. The director of Baahubali SS Rajamouli along with producer Shobu Yarlagadda and actress Anushka Shetty reached London on Monday and the screening will be done on Tuesday.
The English media was in full attendance to cover the proceedings. Shobu Yarlagadda, the producer of Baahubali, posted a message on his social networking page which read – “@BFI South Bank photo call for @BaahubaliMovie in London! Screening here today @7pm.“
This comes at a juncture when top actors and filmmakers have been praising Rajamouli for producing an astonishing film and putting Indian cinema on top of the charts at the global level. International filmmakers have also taken notice to this monstrous film which stayed at the top in the US market over the weekend.
Baahubali 2 was released on April 28, 2017, worldwide in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film has been on a rampage in terms of collections at the box office.
