Baahubali will probably remain the most talked about film in the history of Indian cinema primarily because of huge success and the box office records. With extraordinary grandeur and mind-blowing visuals, Baahubali became a huge success not just in Telugu, but nationwide. Prabhas and Rana Daggubati became top stars of the Indian cinema after the Baahubali and now are very popular in all the film industries.
Not stopping there, Baahubali ventured into merchandise with clothing and toys. That became a mania amongst kids and is now a hugely successful venture. And now, Baahubali now has a boxing team which is owned by Rana Daggubati and producer Shobu Yarlagadda.
Speaking about how it all shaped up, Rana Daggubati told a leading daily, “Boxing is one sport I have always been fascinated about since my childhood. I used to watch it on television, although I never had any chance to witness it live on any platform. So, when I heard about the opportunity to be associated with Boxing Super League, I grabbed it with both hands. And for the name, since Shobu Yarlagadda is also part of my team, we decided to call it Bahubali Boxers. We just wanted to keep the buzz alive and rolling about the Bahubali franchise whenever there’s an opportunity.“
Rana has also been the brand ambassador for a Kabaddi league and talking about it he says, “I have always been a sports lover like my father and uncle (Venkatesh). When I was approached to endorse Pro Kabaddi, I thought it was a great opportunity to venture into new terrains. I like exploring new things. Moreover, Kabaddi is a sport that most of us might have played at some point of our lives; so, I guess the connectivity with the sport is greater.“
Well, looks like Baahubali is now becoming a bigger brand than what it was earlier.
