This Sankranthi, the much-loved Balakrishna gave his fans a big reason to celebrate when his eagerly-awaited ‘Jai Simha’ opened to a good response at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews and clashing with Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Agnyaathavaasi’. An action-drama, it was directed by noted filmmaker KS Ravikumar and also had ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara in the lead. During a recent chat with a leading daily, NBK opened up about his take on life and said that he does not let either success or failure affect him too much.
“Today film distributors come from different places and they are happy. I work hard for every film and some of them may be successful while the others may fail. Neither do I let the successes get to my head nor do I sit on the failures. I just focus on my work,” he added.
The actor also made it clear that he does not attach a lot of importance to records. Explaining his logic, T-town’s resident ‘Legend’ said that a film’s box office success is all that matters when all is said and done.
“Many of my films have created unbeatable records. The point being records are always there, but they don’t matter; it is about how much the film collects, and the distributors and producers should feel happy when they put their money on the film,” said NBK.
The veteran actor also said that it is important that people in the film industry start respecting producers and keep them in the loop about everything related to the movie in question.
On a related note, with ‘Jai Simha’ behind him, NBK will now turn his attention to his next big film ‘NTR’. It is a Teja directorial and will revolve around the life of Tollywood icon/former Andhra CM NTR. It first look was released recently and created a buzz amongst fans.
