Kannada superhit film U-Turn is now being remade in Telugu and Tamil with Samantha Akkineni reprising the role essayed by Shraddha Srinath in the original. The shooting of U-Turn remake is currently under progress and Samantha Akkineni recently wrapped up a schedule of the film and has shot for important portions in the film. According to latest reports, the makers have roped in Bhumika Chawla and the veteran actor will be seen playing a ghost in the film. Bhumika Chawla will be seen reprising the role played by Radhika Chetan, Maaya, in the original and will be the ghost which tries to kill the offenders. The makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding this but emerging reports reveal that Bhumika Chawla has signed the dotted line and will be reprising the role in both, Telugu and Tamil.
Bhumika Chawla made a comeback in Telugu with Nani’s recently released MCA in which she played one of the central characters. Bhumika played Nani’s sister-in-law and had the Khushi actor donning one of the most important characters in the film. Bhumika is also playing an important role in Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Savyasachi which is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Bhumika Chawla will be seen playing Naga Chaitanya’s sister in Savyasachi which also stars R.Madhavan in an important role.
The Telugu and Tamil remake of U-Turn too is being directed by Pawan Kumar himself who had directed the original too. Besides Samantha Akkineni, U-Turn remake also stars Rahul Ravindran as Samantha’s love interest and Aadhi as a cop. The makers are yet to title the remakes and are considering to retain the same. Samantha Akkineni will be playing the journalist in the film who tries investigate and write a story for her publication but instead gets trapped in the whole situation.
