Bhumika Chawla made her acting debut in Telugu with Sumanth’s Yuvakudu in the year 2000. Since her debut, the actress has acted with most of the top stars in Telugu and Tamil barring super stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. The real kick came when she acted alongside Power Star Pawan Kalyan in Khushi which became one of the biggest blockbusters in her career.
Since Khushi, Bhumika had a steady career in Telugu and Tamil but slowed down a bit after she got married to yoga instructor Bharat Thakur in 2007. The actress hasn’t appeared in many films since then, but has stayed in touch with the art form. Bhumika is now back in Telugu and will appear in Nani’s upcoming film which is titled MCA.
Speaking to a leading daily, the actress revealed her acting plans and her role in Nani’s MCA.” I’m acting alongside Nani in MCA right now. And I’m also working on a Tamil film and a Hindi film, with Tamannaah and Prabhu Deva,” says Bhumika.

Speaking about the reason that kept her at a distance from the arc lights, Bhumika says with a smile,” My three-year-old, Yash.” The actress also added,” I actually have been working on and off on my own pace all these years in Tamil and Hindi. And thankully my family has been quite helpful. I can work in peace even if I was away from him.”
The actress honestly believes that she won’t be able to do lead roles and will keep getting supporting roles like in MS Dhoni: Untold Story. ” Personally, I know I won’t keep doing sister-in-law, mother-in-law roles until I die! I will be doing different things and be doing so in my own pace. I will be working till I’m 70. However, I am not dying for work. I just work because I like to,” added Bhumika.
