As we all know, Deva Katta’s Prasthanam starring Sharwanand is all set to be remade in Hindi. Ever since its announcement, there have been numerous reports regarding the star cast of the film. According to initial reports, it was being said that Sharwanand starrer ‘Prasthanam’, which was released on April 16, 2010, will apparently star Sooraj Pancholi in the lead. Well, there is a massive change in the star cast of the film. However, the recent reports suggest that Sooraj Pancholi has been replaced been another Bollywood star. Yes, Sooraj Pancholi is no longer a part of the film. Ali Fazal has been roped in as a replacement of Sooraj Pancholi. But, the official announcement about this development is yet to be made.
According to reports, Sooraj Pancholi was expected to start the shooting of the film in June but due to his busy schedule for his next, he could not take up the project. Director Deva Katta felt that Ali Fazal was perfect for the role and the filmmakers decided to approach him.
Deva Katta, who helmed the original movie, is most likely to direct the remake as well. According to reports, Dutt will not only feature in the film but will also produce it. Reportedly, Ali Fazal will play Sanjay Dutt’s son in the film.
Deva Katta’s Prasthanam became a critical success and garnered appreciations across the world. The film even went on to win many awards. The female lead actor and rest of the cast for the remake of Prasthanam are yet to be finalised and soon details will be announced.
Prasthanam was one of the most intense films in the Telugu cinema and now it remains to see what’s in the store for Bollywood lovers.
